FreeMyMemories helps people preserve the Snapchat Memories they already own as a private local library with On This Day, map exploration, trips, eras, insights, future imports, and flexible export choices.
Snapchat exports can contain years of personal history, but raw export folders and ZIP files are not how people want to revisit their lives. FreeMyMemories focuses on turning those files back into an experience: dates, places, trips, eras, and memories that can be browsed privately on iPhone.
People who saved years of memories inside a social app are now learning the difference between access and ownership.
The app is designed around user-provided exports, no FreeMyMemories account, no Snapchat credentials, and no FreeMyMemories cloud backend receiving Memories.
The problem is not just getting files out. The useful layer is a private library that makes old memories browsable again.
FreeMyMemories began with the same user problem the product now solves: years of Snapchat Memories, a confusing export path, and no existing option that made those memories feel permanent, private, and worth revisiting.
